Gordon Brown Promises Full Body Scanners in UK Airports- Backup Video
Privacy campaigners in the United Kingdom are claiming that the images created by new full body scanners, currently under trial at Manchester airport, are so graphic that they are really a form of virtual strip search.
Strict UK child protection laws make it an offence to create indecent images of children and this will result in under 18s being exempt from body scans. Civil liberties groups have called for strictly enforced safeguards to ensure that images aren’t published on the internet or distributed. (more…)
As we see continued cold weather its important to not forget your pets as they will also be feeling the cold even if they do have fur coats they will still be struggling. It’s good to take extra precautions and know where your local animal hospital is or an emergency vet.

In an important collaborative move by the US and UK governments, both have agreed to sign new policies on how military aircraft are to maintain high standards of safety. In the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, many planes and helicopters displayed serious weaknesses and even cost the lives of soldiers due to their malfunctioning.
