Recently MTV dropped the slogan “Music Television” from their logo and in all honesty this was a much needed thing to do. MTV are just not interested in playing any music on their main channel anymore and would much rather play very poor reality shows. Does anyone really watch MTV now? (more…)
So many bands have announced that they do not like Guitar Hero and of course Rock Band simply because it does not help to teach people the real thing. Major artists like Jack White and Jimmy Page have said in the past that they simply do not see the point in it at all and that rather than paying out forelectric guitars, parents are going out and buying them the entire Guitar Hero or Rock Band package.Is something like this really contributing to the fact the music industry is failing or is this nonsense?
Positives
Although some of the artists believe that Guitar Hero is the antichrist to music I personally think that it is only making children more aware of decent music rather than subjecting them to the trash that we often see in the charts here in the UK. (more…)
As Father’s Day is nearing I am thinking of getting my Father a new musical instrument he has been playing for a while now. My Dad has been playing digital pianos since he was a little kid and for some reason I want to get him a guitar. I think he still has time in him to learn a new musical instrument and on top of that I am tired of hearing the same piano sound over and over again. (more…)
Normally people say to learn any musical instruments you will have to start young but that is not true at all it is never too late to learn any instrument. If you are a new starter and learning to play digital pianos, I suggest you learn from an expert other than take online lessons. As you are a new starter it is hard for you to understand the keys/codes so it is wise for someone who is an expert to be there and hold your hand till you get used to the codes. (more…)
