Modern Muscle Car: 2010 Chevy Camaro

November 04, 2008 By: SLP LS1 Category: Recreation No Comments →

One of the coolest new modern muscle cars to look forward to is the 2010 Chevy Camaro.  The car will have a LS3 small block that will produce around 400 horsepower with an active fuel managements system.  The fuel management system is a cool new feature that will allow muscle car enthusiasts to get better gas mileage so they cruise longer and not have to dip into their wallets as much.  As you can see, GM has implemented a new boxier look from the 60s and 70s unlike the 4th generation fbodies.  Some enthusiasts really like the new look, others do not.  I think it rather looks pretty sweet if you ask me!  The pricing is resonable, starting at $22,995.  The Camaro is scheduled to start production in spring 2009, but you can start making your reservations right now by visiting GM’s website.

Playa del Carmen Rentals

October 09, 2008 By: kjorgensen Category: Recreation, Regional, World 1 Comment →

With the economic problems hitting the financial markets worldwide, many travelers are looking for affordable travel options. The strong dollar and euro in Mexico make Playa del Carmen an extremely attractive option. Consider a vacation rental in Playa del Carmen for you next vacation. Playa del Carmen has been an incredibly attractive option for European and American travelers for years. However, with the exchange rate on the Mexican peso hitting 13 to 1 as recently as October 8th, 2008, Mexico is a great option for the budget minded traveler. Plus, with Playa del Carmen rentals you have the option of dining in or out, access to internet, and your own living and dining areas to enjoy your vacation with all of the amenities of home.Playa del Carmen or just “Playa”, as it is commonly referred to by locals, is a resort town on the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. It’s approximately 45 minutes south of Cancun on the Mayan Riviera, and offers a more relaxed atmosphere engineered for lounging and beach frolic. Quinta Avenida, also referred to in English as 5th Avenue, is the main tourist destination in Playa del Carmen. It is a pedestrian only, cobblestone lined street which runs approximately 20 blocks. Along 5th Ave. visitors can find a variety of restaurants, bars, clubs, shops and tourist services. Scuba diving and snorkeling is one of the biggest draws to Playa del Carmen, though the reefs are offshore and may require a boat ride to get to. The offshore reef is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest coral reef system in the world. Most hotels have a dive shop on their premises. In addition many more dive shops can be found on 5th Ave.Excellent snorkeling is located at Puerto Morelos, located roughly halfway between Playa del Carmen and Cancun, and in the lagoon at Akumal, on the way to Tulum. Several dive shops in Playa del Carmen do offer cenote diving south of town.So as you plan your winter vacations, consider taking advantage of the value Playa del Carmen rentals can offer for a luxurious and affordable option for accomodations in Playa del Carmen.

Hiking and camping in Colorado

May 01, 2008 By: klarsen Category: Recreation No Comments →

I recently moved back to Colorado, after living in Phoenix Arizona for 5 years.  I was a big hiker and camper when I lived in Colorado before, but did not do much of that when I was in Arizona.  Now that I have moved back, I am trying to get back into both activities so I decided to start a blog to motivate me to get back outside and do the things I love to do.  I hope you enjoy my journey and find some of my tips and tricks to be informative as well as my reviews of trails.  So come to my blog about hiking and camping in Colorado.
