There are many things outside of our control, such as our age. I describe myself as being well over 40. At no time have I tried to exert control over my physical years. I know of only one option.
I also describe myself as being overweight, not obese in my opinion, just overweight. I imagine there are thousands of individuals in the same situation. Weight, however, I can control. In fact, I’ve already taken action to change my overweight status, and I’m stepping it up further. I don’t want to lose weight alone.
So now, I have this idea that I can gather enough people in a similar overweight situation, when combined, to account for 100,000 pounds of fat loss for 2010.
That’s all this article is, an old style rally call for Fit Fat Loss Event. What will it take, 5,000 people? I would like to find out. But how?
Well, sometimes there is a simple answer.
I pose one question.
As you’ll see, there’s a correct answer for everyone. It’s even in multiple choice format.
Answering it acts as a pledge and a commitment towards a weight loss goal. Doing that simple step gets you started in the event.
There’s no anticipated winner or prize, it’s just about participating and being one in the group that succeeded in losing 100,000 pounds.
I suppose I should create at least an honor roll though. Maybe post a status update too.
Together, let’s lose 100,000 pounds in 2010 – that’s 50 tons of fat!
Aren’t you curious? Let’s find out how many people it takes to lose 100,000 pounds. Will it be 10,000 or only 5,000 or perhaps less? Regardless, that’s a lot of people whose lives would be impacted in 2010… slimmer, healthier, more energetic, more confident, and fit too!
The thing is, will we make it? Can we actually affect the lives of a few thousand people this year? Take it viral and tell people about the one question poll I’ve set up at Fit Fat Loss Event just for this purpose.
It’s where you can loosely “pledge” to drop those excess pounds. So, go to the poll… it’s one question with an answer for absolutely everyone. True, there will be no way to know for certain if the 100,000 pounds was achieved, but maybe I’ll put out a year-end poll asking how many were successful to get a general idea.
If I’ve held your interest thus far, or even if you just managed to hang in there, then your know what I’m up to, and with that, your participation in answering that single question is important as I would like to see you succeed in your experience of a healthy weight loss. People joining me will help to keep me motivated.
Realize this is something that could affect the rest of your life, and it is such a simple way to start! Share it, and it could impact even more lives!
So please pass the word… help others see the poll and get started too. Help make this one goal for 2010 attainable: Together, let’s lose 100,000 pounds in 2010 – that’s 50 tons of fat… gone. Now that’s a Fit Fat Loss Event!
As for me, I pledged an “average” 20 pounds. Where are the other 4,999 people?
If you’re interested in one more simple step: write down “I pledge to myself, my family, and my friends that I WILL lose the pounds specified for the Fit Fat Loss Event for 2010”. SIGN it. That’s correct, put your signature on the paper. You’re taking action. If it seems silly, that is not the intention, it’s affirmation.
