January has arrived and with it all the thoughts of a happy new year and changes we are all going to be making.

I’m sure I am the same as most people. Come the 1st of January I always have all these wonderful plans for the year ahead. Firstly join the gym, then of course take a good look at my diet and generally take better care of myself health wise. Then when I feel more confident in myself I will be up for having a go at new challenges and before you know it a new me will be emerging in 2010.

The reality is that I probably won’t do any of this and 2010 will be pretty much the same as last year and the year before.

One thing definitely guaranteed for this year is that it will soon be time to start planning my summer holiday. It’s absolutely ridiculous as I scrimp and save for 8 months of the year, just so that I can afford to go away in the summer.Every year I put myself under an enormous amount of pressure just so I can enjoy a couple of weeks fun in the sun.Of course it’s not just the holiday that I need to find money for.I will have to make sure I buy myself some lovely new summer clothes, and of course with new clothes comes new accessories.

Bearing this in mind, the one thing I have decided to do this year is treat myself to something nice at least once a month right up until I take my longed for holiday.It doesn’t have to be anything really big and costly, just a nice little treat.

To start me off in January I am going to be looking at buying some summer accessories. I am going to make a start by buying some silver jewellery. I have seen some fantastic silver earrings I like and of course if I buy earrings then I am just going to have to match these up with some gorgeous silver bracelets.

February could well be buying some new dresses and who knows about March.

When August finally gets here, I know that for 2 weeks I will be enjoying precious time with my husband and children and all the money spent will be forgotten.
