Pull Up Bars: How to Use a Chin Up Bar
Pull up bars are extremely useful work-out tools that allow you to transform any and/or every room into a small place where you can do a full upper-body work out. A pull up bar can let you do pull ups, chin ups, sit ups and push ups — all without leaving the room you’re at.
I bought my pull up bar about 6 months ago, and the results have been astounding. I’ve seen my body grow in muscle mass as well as decrease in fat — the bar works. One of the reasons it works so well is because you can work out any time you want.
Learning how to do a pull up is essential to using the chin up bar, of course.
Whether you have or haven’t ever done a pull up or chin up before, I’d suggest you get one of the portable doorway bars because they’re so useful for workouts. If you’re a guy, then you build up your arm and shoulder muscles with pull ups — if you’re a girl, then you push out your chest with pull ups and work on trimming fatty tissue. Regardless, it’s a win-win situation for everyone in terms of muscle mass creation and fat mass loss.
Pull up bars can be found almost anywhere, including most Wal-Mart and Target stores. If you’re not wanting to leave and go to the store to grab one, you might just start browsing around the Internet. I know you can find extremely cheap bars on Amazon and eBay — I know this because this is how I got my bar. If you want to make sure you get the best deal, spend a good 15-20 minutes browsing around various online shopping malls. You’ll find a cheap chin up bar… you don’t have to have money to lose weight and gain muscle.
Regardless, don’t forget that it’s not the equipment that helps you lose weight — it’s using the equipment. If you don’t use it, you won’t get in shape — no way around it. If you get the bar, just be sure to use it once or twice a week — go till you literally can’t go anymore. This will do wonders for you. It’s not about how many times a week you work out — it’s about how you work out, period. This is probably the most misunderstood part of working out for most people — they don’t know how
