Jewellery Doesn’t Have To Cost A Fortune To Be Precious
Sadly, the one thing that every human being has in common is that unfortunately at some point we will pass away. Although it’s not a great subject to discuss, I’m sure it’s something we have all thought about at some point in our lives.
Speaking from personal experience there have been quite a few members of my family who have sadly passed away, some were expected, and some were an absolute shock.
It is really hard to deal with grief at the best of times, but when somebody really close to you dies suddenly it is so very painful.
Unfortunately for me 2006 was a very bad year and I lost not only my precious mum, but my father in law and my husband’s nan. It was an unbelievable time and even now 3 years on I am still not over loosing my lovely mum.
It is strange, but even now when the telephone rings, I still think it might be mum calling to update me on the family gossip. We used to have such a laugh and although she could be very strict, she was always fair. I couldn’t have asked for a better mum and if I got the chance to have my time all over again with her, there isn’t one thing I would change about her.
A while ago my sister got married, and although it was a great day, it was always going to be tinged with sadness that our mum couldn’t be us.
The strange thing is that my sister and I sat down a few weeks after her wedding and after talking about her wedding it turned out that we had both decided to wear some of the jewellery that mum had left us, so part of her was with us at the wedding.
Mum owned some beautiful silver bracelets and her collection of silver rings was absolutely amazing. For me though her silver necklaces are the most precious and I always try to make sure I wear a different one each day. It makes me feel close to mum at all times, and always proud to have been her daughter.
