One Family’s Take on Colorado Springs
The trip my family and I took to Colorado Springs was amazing! We live in Minneapolis so the flight was only 2 hours and the view from the plane was majestic. The mountains were majestic and we couldn’t wait to see them up close and personal. Once we landed, we have hired a limo in Colorado Springs. The hotel we were staying at is called the Broadmoor and it is an fantastic resort.
The Broadmoor is Colorado’s top resort destination and people simply flock to it. Ther restuarant at the Broadmoor serves some amazing dishes and you can enjoy your meal while overlooking the lake. Needless to say, our room was not cheap – but it was worth every penny. Once we unloaded our bags, we had the Colorado Springs limousine service take us to the Garden of the Gods. This is Colorado Springs most famous toursit attraction and it is a great place to bring your camera. The Garden of the Gods is a series of beatiful red rock formations that jut out from the ground at various angles.
After we left the Garden of the Gods, the Colorado Springs limo company drove us to the base of Pike’s Peak. From there we took a train up to the top, which can be a little hairy if you are scared of heights. When you get to the peak, you will be stunned by the view and it’s even better if you go on a day with no clouds. It gets a little harder to breathe up at the peak and you may need to bring a jacket.
Overall, our trip to Colorado Springs was very special and I would reccommend visiting this area to anyone planning a trip to Colorado. If you have time, you can take the 2 hour drive up to Denver to catch a sporting event. They have an NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB team.!
