Why Are Vans In Cartoons? (Part 1)
There are actually quite a few cartoons out there that feature cartoon characters that drive, own or have something to do with a van and many of them are tuned in by millions a day. Some of these are past sucesses and havent been around in a long while and some of them are made just for the enjoyment of the smaller kids. Here are the ones that I could think of.
The Infamous Mystery Machine
This has to be the most famous one out of all of the cartoon vans that have ever come into existence. In terms of putting a van inside a cartoon this is the one that really kicked it off. All of this kicked off in 1969 with the original series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! The show is obviously still going strong and has not lost the original design at all, there are still many monsters to be caught. It is pressumed that they always use someone in disguise instead of a real monster so that younger kids are not scared. I wonder if the gang have the van on Van Leasing
A Bit Of A Classic- Postman Pat
This is actually a British creation which is partly why it is in the list, the other reason is because it was first aired in 1981 and was loved so much that they have brought back a newer series which started in 2006. This show was really aimed at the younger generations of people and I will admit to watching the show when I was young myself. The brilliant thing about Postman Pat is that he is the only Postman able to deliver the post on time!
Cheap Van Leasing is something that these toons must have had in mind when purchasing these vans.
Which has the best van in the popular South Park, Family Guy and South Park series, read part two to find out. Small van leasing is key for the next part.
