Is it possible the Ceiling Fan is deadly?
The cieling fan is quite a nice invention as it can actually save you on your energy bills if you use it over air con..
Of course the ceiling fan is mainly used for keeping people cool but is also used for suicide and for a hat..
So how on earth does someone end up wearing one of these for a hat? I am actually talking about the fan coming down on somebodys head, my school days had many loose fans that no one seemed to want to sit under..
The fact is that many people choose to take thier own life by using a ceiling fan. The majority of suicides are from hangings as the fan is often the highest point in the room..
A major misconception is that the fan can actually behead somebody, this simply is not true.. A lot of people will go along with the films they see in which people get beheaded by the fans.. On the programme Mythbusters it was actually proven that the most a ceiling fan can do to you is tear the throat open and that was using the most powerful fan money can buy, even the custom lawnmowe fan couldnt take the head off fully.?
It was more than likely taken from a single film and then used by other companies for their projects.. The only thing you will get if you come neck first into one of these fans is a modern “Nearly Headless Nick” and not a full beheading..
On a lighter note the ceiling fan amongst other inventions that include room humidifiers and HEPA air purifier can actually be more useful to you than deadly.
