Air Con- Good to have or bad for the environment?
Let’s face it air con uses a lot of electricity across the world every single day. Could you imagine if a country like America didnt have air conditioning.
The reason for this is that we use it wherever we go including the office, car and even at home. Of course for someone living here in England it isn’t very important as we need the complete opposite to keep us warm. Air con is being used more and more and can even be purchased in a portable form of air conditioners just to cool you down whilst you are out and about. The car is basically the only place we really use them in England and that is only because they are built with air con..
The USA needs them more because of the climate. Having been to the USA a fair number of times I have to say it was awsome to have air con in the hot weather. This is very true at the theme parks out there as you always want to be in some form of air con.. Do the American people actually need the air con or is it for tourists??
There is a use for it in America and it comes in most useful in an office.. The energy that air con uses it what makes it just a okay invention and not a brilliant one.. Other similar great inventions of course include portable aircon and of course outdoor heater
So although the air conditioner is a very good invention, next time you go to switch it on stop and think. It could well be one of those annoying habits people have.. Leaving it off could mean a lot of money saved in your electricity bill as well as making you feel a bit better about yourself.
