Arundel is a tiny little town that is often over looked by many when thinking about a different holiday in England. Arundel civil parish occupies an area of 1,227 hectares (3,030 acres) and has a population of roughly 3,408 people. The town lies North of the A 27 road, which narrowly avoids the town centre by a short and congested single carriageway bypass.

The town itself is a wonderful and picturesque town full of Sussex cottage views and scenery. Through Arundel runs the River Arun which is one of the oldest and most beautiful rivers in the country. Although, the river has not been used in over twenty years. Arundel is home to one of the oldest Scout Groups in the world. 1^{Earl of Arundel’s Own was a Scout Group that was formed in 1908 only a few weeks after scouting has begun} Arundel 9Earl of Arundel’s Own) Scout Group was formed in 1908 only a few weeks after scouting began. Based in its current HQ in Green Lane Close, it has active sections of Beaver Scouts and Scouts. If you love cricket then you will love Arundel! The town has its own cricket ground right by Arundel Castle and is often cited as being one of the country’s most picturesque cricket ground. It hosts a number of Sussex County matches and is the venue for the traditional season curtain raiser between Lavinia Dutchess of Norfolk’s XI and the champion county. Also, Arundel was given the award of ‘Fairtrade Town’ by the Government which symbolises that the town supports the environment and natural produce.

All in all this is a tremendous little town to go on holiday in and I would highly recommend anyone to venture down South to go and explore There is plenty of activities that you can do and loads of Sussex holiday cottages there.
