Flash to Get a Run on SmartPhones
Smartphone’s are increasing at an unbelievable rate; every single phone manufacturer is jumping onto the smart phone bandwagon and improving more and more functions as they go. Although the smartphones have some amazing features, there is really only one aspect that is missing which is flash. Flash is utterly all-important in streaming videos and other web based functionality.
Although some phones do come flash it has been a light version simply because the phones could not really handle the heavier. Flash is such a common piece of software, it is actually found on numerous computers around the world. But as we know the mobile market is expanding and more and more people are accessing the internet on the go.
By 2010 it is suggestion that flash will be fully integrated into all phones to allow fast streaming and high definition viewing of both websites and videos. The only problem at the moment seem to be with the Iphone as it will not be available for the Apple iPhone, according to Mr Muraka. “We’re going to need Apple’s cooperation,” he told BBC News. “At the moment Safari (Apple’s web browser) doesn’t support any kind of plug-in.”
It just goes to show how much phones are going to be progressing over the next coming years; they are literally going to be fully fledged media units. We are going to be able to stream any type of media file online and never miss any of our favourite soaps. We will be able to subscribe to things such as sky or free view on our phones which we can watch while in the car or on a train journey.
