Drawback on progress for the housing market
When everyone thought the housing sector was on the mend we were wrong. Less people swapped homes in August than July. This has been the first drawback in the housing sector for weeks but it was all anticipated by the Government. Property to rent in London has also suffered a big blow out with many people choosing to stick around put in their current house. Around 83,000 properties were sold for more than £40,000 in teh UK alone during the month of august down from 87,000 is July according to HM Revenue and Customs. However, this is not all bad news. If you compare this figure with the lonely 41,000 houses that were purchased in January it doesnt really seem that bad.
Property to rent in Tooting and Property to rent in Earlsfield were more search on search engines such as Google over the last few months which is a good sign that people are interested in renting out properties. One would hope that the only way is up in terms of the housing market but figures have shown such a slow increase we could end up ready and waiting for an amazing long time. The Government had predicted this slide in housing profit for the month in August as it was expecting people to be going away on holiday. However, the good news is that the Government have acknowledged that the housing and property market has stabilised following the recession.
This is good news to many ears across the country as a lot of people have been wanting to try and get on the property ladder for some time but the high prices have been holding them back. With any luck, people will start to buy properties again so the economy can be kicked off once more.
