Speed is the Most Important Factor when Buying a Remote Control Car
At some point in your childhood you will remember your first experience playing with radio control models. Admittedly I think more boys will remember this memory than girls but I think thats expected. I certainly remember my first experience it was playing with an old off-road electric remote control (RC) car at my local park. I remember enjoying driving it far too fast for what it could handle and of course breaking it! That day sparked my passion for RC cars and I have never looked back since.
For me it has always been about speed! For people who are just starting I would recommend to go electric they have good top speeds and are very easy to maintain. You don’t need to spend loads of cash on cars to achieve good speed, I would recommend starting with an electric car which is easy to maintain and quick as well as also allowing you to build your knowledge.
For outright speed RC nitro cars is the only this to go for! They provide so much more speed than electric cars however there not easy to maintain. Youre going to need to maintain the air cleaners, glo-plugs etc for nitro cars because of their nitro engines. They have the benefit (or downfall) of operating a lot more a like a normal fuel car than electric cars do. There engines take time to spool up and the clutch to engage and they sound like normal cars! The cars do not take long to be refuelled, in fact only seconds and after that short refuel they last ages. The amount of time and the knowledge needed will scare people however I personally could never go back to electric. Although if you do feel you can put in the time to maintain these cars I dont think you will regret it, the speed and the amount of fun to be had driving them is second to none!
