Please Don’t Hack My Phone
If you have a personal computer you will acknowledge that you need to set up your system with every piece or technology, antivirus and anti malware out there. This is mainly due down to the fact that hackers create these viruses to get into other peoples computers and gain access to private information. Hacking and viruses cost the on-line community millions, if not billions of dollars every individual year.
But this could all soon be changing; we could now be seeing a new wave of viruses attacking something totally different and that is mobile phones. Over the past decade or so the mobile phone marketplace has literally exploded. But over the past few years we have seen an increase in smart phones, rather than phones that just call phone numbers, hitting the market. The most popular in all likelihood being the IPhoNe and the Nokia N97.
What these phones are famed for though is the net, you can literally browse the net like you would do on any one computer throughout the globe, but these phones do not seem to have any anti virus or anti hacking software package in place. Hence this makes it a downright hackers dream. You could merely end up download computer virus after virus on your handset.
What makes this even more worrying is that hackers could see absolutley everything on your phone. As well as this they could also tap into your phone line and run up a huge bill for you. As we are already well aware smart phones are mainly on contract, so there is no limit on the bill that the hackers could run up.
Mobile virus software needs to hit the mass scale market and it needs to be preinstalled on the mobile phones before they get purchased. Otherwise we could see a huge increase in mobile phone fraud.
